This piece originated from an idea that I envisioned many years ago. It was a piece that honored Detroit fashion, which had a mix of graffiti styles that were layered with the classic Rolling Stones lips and tongue. It was an inspiration in a sense of the style of art I began to collect. While I never owned the piece, it was always in the back of my mind, and recently I brought my vision to life. I did so by featuring an image from an Andy Warhol print of a young Mick Jagger. I then layered gold leaf with textured paint, and I infused a disco ball atop 20 layers of graffiti paint of the two lined phrase Fash-Ion.
