Fire + Ice, 2022

This piece began as an experiment of metallic and fluorescent spray paint on the largest canvas I have used to date. I envisioned a cotton candy sky effect as I started to blend the variations of paint. As I continued, there was an explosion of colors that included blue, teal, and pink metallic spray paint. This exhibited a unique vibrant reflection that stood on its own. While I was happy with the initial work, I pushed myself to accentuate the color scheme by combining fluorescent pink and purple with subtle hints of bright red and orange. The infusion of unorthodox types of spray paints created an eye-popping graffiti art piece. The resemblance of fire and ice can be seen as the surrounding light shifts the color, tone, and brightness of the artwork.
