Beyond the Surface is a representation of the core layers beneath the Earth. My vision was to infuse variations of color that are most prevalent to the core - brown, yellow, orange, red, green. I then experimented with different methods of abstract art using acrylic, oil and water based paint. This ultimately created a mesmerizing depth to the piece that makes our eyes observe something different every time we examine this work of art.
“The Earth is divided into three main layers. The dense, hot inner core (yellow), the molten outer core (orange), the mantle (red), and the thin crust (brown), which supports all life in the known universe.”
