This abstract piece is a portrayal of how unexpected circumstances lead us to new beginnings…
This canvas stood to the side of my studio while I worked on various projects. Over the course of time, the canvas absorbed reminisce of paint, modeling paste, plaster, fabric and acrylic gel. The piece really came to life while experimenting with friends at my studio. Instinctively, we used the first materials, colors, mediums, and methods that crossed our minds. To bring it all together, I blended vibrant colors of paint to create vertical + horizontal lines in the foreground.

”You can be the artist you feel you want to be. You can do anything. There are no rules of equipment, there are no rules of process…Do what you feel and find your own techniques and discover your own methods.”
