Unmasked | 36" x 36"

This multi-dimensional piece infuses, numerous layers of paint, texture, and authentic mechanical gaskets and springs. I envisioned using the barometer as the face of Mickey Mouse, paired to the side of a silhouette of his body. My thought to create this simplistic shadow in order to calm the chaos that sprawls throughout the canvas. In order to add depth to his figure, I decided to emphasize the classic Mickey gloves and highlighted his blue bow tie and red pants. While there are a variety of layered mediums, the cool tones of green and blue allows the eye to gaze with minimal distraction.
